Mark Flores (he/him) is a fourth-year PhD in Health, Sport, and Human Physiology at UIowa. He is originally from Phoenix, AZ, where he has accrued an abundance of overdue fees from the pile of movies he checked out that he swears he is going to watch at some point. He enjoys old school, over the top action and stylish crime films, including The Killer (1989), Police Story (1985), Uncut Gems (2019), and Heat (1995). With a healthy dose of body horror classics such as Possession (1981) and The Fly (1986) to take the edge off. When not watching movies or doing research, he paints and bikes in his free time.
