Tyrone Aragón is a Nicaraguan writer, medical doctor and medical researcher. He was awarded with The Ancinas Scholarship to attend the 56th Community of Writers Summer Workshop in Olympic Valley, CA. (2026). Finalist of the Miami Book Fair Emerging Writers Fellowship (2025). Fellow of the International Writing Program (IWP), Emerging Voices / Mentorship Program (2024) from the University of Iowa. He is currently a graduate student of the MFA in Spanish Creative Writing and an active member of the Bijou Film Board. His research focus on the illness narratives and his favorites movies include: Gattaca (1997) and Breaking the Waves (1996).
